The media browser. The ability to build motion template filters and effects is pretty amazeballs too. Does premiere let you publish directly to Youtube or Vimeo from within the application?

Totally. I think even a year ago this thread would have been more passionate. Reality is every NLE has a few caveats these days. It always comes down to what you’re most comfortable with or what you can use without being distracted by how you’re using it.

In all due respect Shane, nothing in that list is a particular deal breaker. Add another $200 in purchases (x2Pro, 7toX, Xto7) and you can run all these apps simultaneously on all the macs you own, not just two machines, forever.
As far as Premiere importing things from other NLE’s, one of our clients switched to Premiere for internal deliveries and has had several hiccups. Apparently using MP3 audio vs Wav audio has caused problems for mixers, and then there’s some big issue with bringing in FCP XML, (not x, just regular FCP) that has basically forced them to tell all vendors to completely stop using FCP7 when editing for them. It has been quite frustrating for them.

FCS works in Yosemite. SMB3 is not available in MT. Lion, SMB2 is. 2 is not as good and as fast as SMB3.

You might want to go all the way to Yosemite and be done with it. Mt. Lion is already over two years old and not being developed anymore. Yosemite will give you SMB connection ability, which in my opinion is better than AFP.

Yep, you can even put your own logo on top of the video if you want. We have a very simple clean overlay that we put on top of ours (https://www.magicfeatherinc.com) and you can remove the VIMEO logo from it. Essentially it creates makes Vimeo just the host of your videos. Also, Vimeo creates a smaller phone and device friendly version of your spot that is responsive depending on the type of device you’re viewing the link from. This lets mobile devices load faster than desktops.
