Keep in mind, if you do any major transitions, scaling, etc., it’s not going to transfer correctly – even if you use automatic duck. We export for avid every week using the duck and many times it leaves something to be desired transitionwise. Also, automatic duck will give you a list of what didn’t go across correctly, very helpful.

Not sure why you wanna mess up your project with avid, hopefully you’re working on an avid symphony hd. I can only imagine how well Avid will handle p2 media.

    Good luck.

  • Yep, that’s the one.

Cool. That’s what i thought, but I thought I’d ask the pros to make sure.

I ended up just rotating everything in preview, but when I hit that wall again I’ll try a batch.

    Thanks!

  • I hit that wall often, so I created a favorites filter effect for dynamics processing with about an 8 pt boost. I rarely have to do any additional adjustment, but if so it’s fairly straightforward.

Here’s howto set it up. Once you have your master gain of the dyn proc effect to the point you like, drag the effect from the viewer into your favorites folder. If you find you’re using this for more than one or two effects, you may want to select all and then drop ALL of your audio by about 4 or 5 ticks (opt-cmd-L, I think). It’s always better to go without an effect if possible.

    Media Producer?

What you described is technical, but also incorporates design and content creation – all primarily for the web.

‘Video” tends to imply output to a broadcast medium. In your situation, you’d be best suited to jobs using your knowledge of content creation and output for the web. Media Producer gives you latitude in describing your duties in ways that are easily altered to better fit whatever job you apply for.

Perhaps it was Kierkegaard, or Eddie Murphy, who said “Once you label me, you negate me…”

    I use the Kona 8Bit Uncompressed with a Kona 2 – sometimes I use 10-bit.
Make sure your deck has SDI selected as input.

What I/O card do you have? Which deck are you using?

It worked out well because their customers are already comfortable with that method of product delivery.

Actually, Microsoft is making a new way to drink coffee with the glove, although it unfortunately delivers in suppository form only.
    No worries, It’s DRM free!
