    Hey guys,

Is there any way one can rotate pictures in finder without actually having to open in preview and rotating r or l? I just got my apple TV (I love it), but many of my thousands of pics are not oriented correctly. A quick finder rotate would be a great deal of help.

If it can’t be done, perhaps it’ll be a new fangled feature in Leapard.

    Thanks!

No way in Finder, but you could do Actions in Photoshop; do a script for Preview; pay the shareware fee for Graphic Converter and batch them with that. Or see if “Xee”, a really cool image app, can batch process them. Xee claims to do lossless rotation and crop on JPEG images.

Cool. That’s what i thought, but I thought I’d ask the pros to make sure.

I ended up just rotating everything in preview, but when I hit that wall again I’ll try a batch.

    Thanks!

iPhoto also lets you select many photos at once and do a rotate if you are using iPhoto to catalog the photos already, this is pretty quick. this is one of those Mac vs. PC differences… Macs put the tools in specific apps that integrate with one another whereas Vista/Windows is integrating more features into the “finder”/file browser itself.
