Be advised, our 2.8 Mac Pro has Kona 3 induced kernal panics with 10.6.8. We cannot run drivers at all for Kona with this release. Uninstalled and reinstalled them several times. We were no running the beta Kona software.
Tough decision. Apple says use 10.6.8 for FCPX, but Kona drivers won’t work with it (on our system). Looks like we should have waited.

We adjusted the levels directly in the timeline, per clip. You can actually see the entire waveform clearly, so it was easy to average them out My editor and I switched off a bit, but he found a way to mix it better (nowhere near a protools mix, obviously). I’ll ask him tomorrow.

Yeah – line up the content, make a clip connection, and just do blade cuts where you feel that a shot needs to change. Maybe put the wide shot in the timeline as the main sequence and go from there. You can hit the blade tool to throw in a cut while playing back without stopping, so that will help you some.
I imported some footage from an H4N and 7D and it layed them all out next to each other in the event browser, which was pretty nice actually. Have some other things going on but plan on getting back to that and digging deeper when I get a chance. I need to figure how to get it to sync up waveforms for me in the timeline.

I’m just coming in to post quickie issues that arise while I go down the line trying everything out in the manual. I’m really digging the quick keys and I love love love how to use a specific tool temporarily, just hold it down while you make your adjustment, release, and you’re back in the previous tool you were in.
