First thought, check to make sure that you are viewing the comp through the camera and not a custom view. There are times when you can see something in custom that’s not visible from the camera.

If that’s not the case, have you keyframed the camera, did the footage move behind the video layer? Is the .ai layer extended to the end of the composition?

Could be a few things. First thing I would check, do those computers have the correct software to play a DVD? Not all computers are pre-installed with DVD software.

Is this a regular DVD, ie…one that will play in a set top player, burned through sonic or encore or a data with and you burned a mpeg, wmv or avi file? That could be a codec error.

Drag your low res logo on to the new comp button, making a new comp with the size & aspect of your small logo(Precomp Logo).

In your animation. Precomp each layer, checking the “leave all attributes” box.

Import new larger res version and bring it into “Precomp Logo”. Lower the opacity to 50% and eyeball/scale it to match the size of the small logo. If the anchor points are the same, or you know that it’s 2x the size this will be easy. Once you have it matched, bring the opacity back to 100 & delete low res version.

Select each of the precomp layers in your main animation, select “Precomp Logo” from your project window, hold down alt and drop on one of the layers. Should change all your layers to the new precomp. Now just use the “collapse layers/continuously rasterize” button and scale up to your hearts content.

How are you exporting it? Rendered file, or dynamic link?

Also how are you using the file in the composition, just layered over some footage, or have you applied effects, using 3D?

Can’t be done in AE. If the interview used a directional mic., you could use only that channel-and center pan. But if the music is mixed into both sides, you are pretty much stuck with it.

If it’s been edited-you could request a clean version. Otherwise you would need to jump into a audio program, try and isolate the frequency of voice and eq the rest out, but that will result in distortion of the voice…

Pretty much you are stuck with the bkg music.

  • When you open up text-twirl open “more options” and change anchor point grouping to character. That should cause the scale up to overlap.

You could also just animate the tracking to a negative number during the animations too.

John Fischer did the same effect here on the cow in his tutorial. Might be a little easier to follow.

It may be that you are importing your alpha with the wrong input settings. Open the import dialogue, open options and see if you are importing with RGB or 601/701 color space. Whatever setting you are using, change it to the other.
