all other movie files worked OK, I figured it must of been a weird buggy corruption of the app so I reinstalled After effects and now all is good again . . .

I will scrub that method, Are there any other ways to animate a square edged stroke, other than using trapcodes 3d stroke, and other than doing it manually?

I have been looking for your SteadyTOOLSv1 or even ANY DoF calculator online, cant seem to find one ? can anyone point me in the right direction as I have some C4D projection mapping to do and finding it difficult to sync my realtime projector with my virtual camera.

I am reckoning
Cinema 4D is all relative anyhow, so as a workaround I have adjusted the illustrator import preference from 1 to .352 that way everything imported is near enough perfect to the relative object measurement.

And Dave you have given me a great idea . .
A simple color key.mov created in FCP relating colors to beats and bars / 1 beat / 1 bar / 4 bar / and changes in verse and chorus. something that can be placed at the top of my AE timeline scaled very small but give me an indication of key audio changes.
This will take me a little prep but once in After Effects, will speed up my workflow no end! thanks!

I guess I will have to get to grips with audio keyframes then and use these as pointers, only I would still like to be able to visually jump between 1 bar 2 bar 4 bar of frames, and looking at keyframes makes me go crosseyed!
So does that mean there IS no other way than the manual way?
