    HI
I am having scaling issues when I import my .ai into C4D.
is there anything I could be missing? I made test mock up, imported a square at 10 x 10 into C4D and then made a cube on stage at 10 x 10 and the C4D was much bigger. I had to downsize the .ai object to .352 to be exact. dont know why this is, in my preferances – illustrator import scaling is at a value of one. Any suggestions folks ?

    I am reckoning
Cinema 4D is all relative anyhow, so as a workaround I have adjusted the illustrator import preference from 1 to .352 that way everything imported is near enough perfect to the relative object measurement.

Yes, it has to be relative since AI is 2D. If you want to be consistent it’s a good idea to use the same document size in Illustrator to export so you’ll know that things will at least be the same scale in Cinema relative to each other. Position on import is based upon the ruler position in Illustrator, so whatever’s at 0,0 in AI will come in at world center in Cinema.
