September 24, 2012 at 2:18 am in reply to: Reolve Lite – Freezes when attempting to ad to Media Storage VolumesI have the same problem with my internal soft RAID, it seems to be only on my raid, and sometimes it beach balls temporarily, and sometimes complete lockup. It has no problems accessing the files on the RAID at full speed, but locks up when I click on the raid in the Library window before displaying directory tree. Did you ever come across any fixes?

Agreed, except something happened to some of the shots when they reconnect to R3D in Resolve,so it can’t be changed in the NLE it came from I believe, nor do I have access to that stuff. What I’m comparing to is the render from the NLE which came out correct. When it conforms in resolve some of the shots seem to start on the wrong spot, but not reliably so and only some of them. So it’s not like I just need to switch timecode modes or something. It turns out it’s not quite hundreds, so I’m plugging through it but… ugh.
If for some reason I did want to export this to another NLE, is there a way to export an EDL or XML or whatnot from resolve that links to the original footage not to the render? I’ve cut in a bunch of special effects shots and stuff so I can’t easily go back to the original EDL even if I wanted to. If I could pop this into my prefered editor and tweak then send it back to resolve that would be great, but I’m pretty sure resolve only exports to link rendered footage…?

If you were working on the machine while the fan was on then your card was on with your hands in there? You might have just shocked it or shorted something by touching. It does kinda sound like you’ve got a dead card…
Does the fan spin on the card when you start up now?
…Hmmm basic ideas. I don’t know anything fancy /not obvious so I’ll stop trying to answer. lol. Good luck with it.

Try the card in a different machine?

Mmmm… these links do not appear to be complete/do anything, and have a … so I can’t parse it myself…?

Did you find a solution to this? I’m thinking about doing it outside resolve but obviously that would be a huge extra step…

One instruction to add to this (i just had this problem and followed Rohit’s directions):
After his instructions, launch Resolve, it will still show “no database connected”. In the database manager select “CONNECT” (not create new) and leave the fields in their default. It will then connect to the newly installed database from your re-install!
P.S. thank you so much Rohit!! You saved me!

You probably already know this, but when you change them are you just going into the image color mode menu or are you doing edit convert to profile? The latter works much better and you can choose perceptual, relative colorimetric etc. There are good tutorials online about which one to pick for what purposes but for one thing you can probably just convert and see if you have a good (and well calibrated) monitor.
