    Thanks guys.

The project is 25p and the files were shot in 25p but showed up as 50i when AMA-linking.

However, it seems to have been resolved by now. I did consolidate the AMA-files to see what happened and they turned out to be 25p in the end.. Very strange as I recall watching the consolidated files and that they too were 50i.. Ghosts…

But I don’t understand the logic at all. When I looked at the AMA-linked 50i it did look like interlaced footage. (Not on freezeframe, but I think the Black Magic is setup to not show interlacing on freeze frame)

    Kind Regards,

    Johan

  • Thanks guys. Both systems run CS6.

I tried to set scratch disks to local and import through Media Browser, but I only got the “beach ball of death” and Application Not responding…

    Kind Regards,

Hmm.. doesn’t seem to be that.. If I export a .PNG directly from Premiere, that still will also look washed out… 🙁

AVID support asked me to remove the OpenIO_VirtIO.acf file and in my case it fixed the problem.

(I now run 7.0.4, but this particular problem exists both in 7.0.4 and 8. Not in 7.0.3 however.)

    Thanks for the input guys.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Jan,

That might very well be the case. I had contact with AVID support during the day and it might be a driver issue.

I downgraded to MC 7.0.4 and the problem remained. We also figured out that turning off audio scrubbing made it work better without the hangupps.

I’ll get back in touch with support again, as soon as the station is available and try to fix the problem.

    Kind Regards,

    Johan

Thanks a lot Oliver. I’ll get back on the development of the issue.

It’s one of these annoying issues which cannot be recreated in any way. It just happens when it happens.

    Kind Regards,

    Johan

    OK, thanks Oliver.

A quick question regarding this. Will all project files/bins be saved when I uninstall?

    Kind Regards,

    Johan

    10.8.5.

Yes, were in extreme hurry and had to install it straight on top… Perhaps I should uninstall and re-install…?

    Kind Regards,

    Johan
