Okay, for anyone searching same question, I figured it out. As long as the 3 objects are not intersecting each other at any point, you can put all of them in a null as if they were 1 object, underneath the object they are being subtracted from. So, in this case:
Boole (A subtract B)
—Cloud(“A” object to be subtracted from)
——NULL (“B” objects being subtracted)
———Graph line 1(to be subtracted)
———Graph line 2 ”
———Graph line 3 “ -
Is frame blending activated?

It sounds like you need to toggle transparency grid. In your composition window, just to the left of your camera view dropdown is a rectangular icon. Click on that and it should fix the problem.

I finally just restarted my system and the problem went away. I had been working for several days in several large projects in multiple softwares and I think something got hung up at some point. It is all better now, thanks for the input.

Here is where I am. The center rays are supposed to fade so we can focus on the outer rays at this spot but the display tag is not affecting the opacity.

Correction, it still renders at 100 percent at 0 but disappears at 0, pre-render.

Hey Adam, how do you go about using ambient occlusion in the reflection channel?

That’s it Brian, thank you! I created a triangle and applied the deformer, then unticked the “flag” so it would be uniform in size but I need to mask off with a feather, the starting point, so it doesn’t look so strange leaving the speaker.
