I have a battery in the mic… and, that did nothing to change the situtation… However, I have tried it without the battery – yet.
I use a simple adapter cable… assuming this is what you mean.

If not Nucleo… do you have any other editing software (i.e., not Abobe) or do you run games on this drive.
If this is not software related… then, it could be your video card or it’s driver. You never posted your video card specs.
No matter the cause… this is probably not an easy fix. You might contact Zaxwerks technical support if you haven’t already. Or… you could do the dreaded total re-build of your OS…. format the HD and start completely over… that makes me feel sick just thinking about anyone having to use this as an option.
Hopefully, someone can come up with a better idea(s)…

They still exist… it seems something has not gone right with your order… in fact, chances are there is nothing to cancel with your credit card if the order did not get completed for some reason or another.

If my memory is correct, I downloaded the trial version that was good for 30 days… I bought it a few days later… and… did not receive a permanent authorization/serial number/code to validate the existing trial version I had downloaded for about 3-4 days… however, I was able to use the trial version until that time.
My memory is a bit fuzzy on this… but, that is what I remember… specially the part about it taking about 3-4 days to get a reply.

IMO… you can spend a lot of time trying to key this clip… and probably get only mediocre results at best…
or… you can spend a whole lot of time rotoscoping each frame.
Whether or not you rotoscope or key depends upon how well you want it to look and how much time you want to spend on the project.
In the end… that clip is going to be a LOT of work and time no matter the technique you use.

You will want to use the Fractal Noise and/or Noise filter

With the noise and displacement map effects… you should be able create this effect.

What do mean by “gel stuff” in the “middle stargate” means… middle of a frame?… middle of a time line?…middle of what? What is “gel stuff”?
A site reference or picture or video sample would be useful.

Besides a good backup…
… I have found a very good battery backup system plus a very good surge protector is as valuable as a good backup system… and… a reliable battery and surge protector can easily cost $300 and up.
Power surges can wipe out internal or external backup drives if they are connected… in effect… the only good backup system is one that is not attached/connected and… stored in a fireproof vault, stored offsite or uploaded offsite… any combination of those storage locations will make for a truely good backup system… anything less will result in a fatal potential weak spot in the backup system.
