Thanks for the reply. I am running a dual core 3.2 XP PRO system with 2 gigs of ram. I also use four hard drives whereas the program runs on one, and the rest are used for renders and source media. I don’t recall the prior versions having this problem. It appears to be more of a memory allocation problem from what I see it the PF usage. On note this happens on two different systems but similar configs.

1.Navigate into the media you want the button.
2.Add the button
3.Select button to open the properties window.
4.Select “Action”
5.Command
6.Choose “Link”
7.Select “Destination” and then link to the desired page. You can use the destination item to have it start the menu at a selected loop point you have created.
Hope this helps if not please let me know. If you have created a button already does it work properly in the program preview?

Click on your navigation button and select “Crop and Adjust”
Select the Alpha slider
Add key frames along time line adjusting the Alpha slider to “fade” in your selection.

Does the option “Paste Attributes” show when you try and paste? That feature copies everything.

October 20, 2008 at 7:18 pm in reply to: Can I make a navigation button text “keyframe” transition using Architect Studio?Sorry I must have not understood correctly what you had already tried. What you can do is change the resolution of the text in Vegas and then import. That might help as well as make sure you are using the best preview function. Sorry if this is basic but I have been guilty of making pretty basic mistakes. I don’t really understand why you be having fuzzy text from an existing clip. I will have to test that on this end. I’ve also made the mistake of not remembering that my video will be seen on a much larger screen than the one I use to edit. TV is not very text friendly to read and most fonts on any DVD are by usually very large. Hope this helps if not let me know and I will assist as I can.

October 20, 2008 at 4:20 am in reply to: Can I make a navigation button text “keyframe” transition using Architect Studio? For some reason there is not the ability to “Crop and Adjust” the text and then keyframe them as you would a button. My workaround is to edit my text as part of my video clip so it shows up exactly how I want. The I go back to Architect and import a button, use the crop and adjust and change the alpha to Zero and set the keyframe at the start. The you just have to play with the settings to avoid having the mask show in the clip before the navigation text displays.
What I also do if I want a transition effect when clicking a menu item is to create one in Vegas by taking a snap shot of the page and link I want to use. Then use that clip to make any changes I’d like to use on my menu page. Hope this helps, if not please ask I’ll be glad to help if I can.
