I can empathize, when I get like that I put on my “Do Not Disturb” “I’m disturbed enough already” T-shirt.

Anyway I have gotten better results and I am happy I picked up Squeeze.

    Cheers,

    Joe

If it doesn’t have to be full screen sometimes scaling it down can help.

Thanks John; I did buy Squeeze and while my first test with the presets yielded files twice the size I’m sure I’ll be able to do better.

  • Thanks for replying Leo; yes its still bad and I have checked my settings, reinstalled AE and the Media 100 transcoder.

In AE the layer file is bad but the source file is ok.

A couple of things; my computer was on all night(it usually gets nights off) and I shut down the G4 before Turning off File Sharing on the Media 100 machine. (I usually terminate the file sharing connection before shutting down)

    Thanks again.

    Cheers,

    Joe

  • One more point…if you have dancers moving around you will probably want to use a manual iris setting versus any easy mode setup in the camera.

I’m not sure how to turn it off, but a workaround may be to give your artboard a larger size in document setup (under file menu).

…and remember to use crop marks when your done.

PS- By the way its Saturday, take the afternoon off and enjoy!

I don’t have the HD but in projects that I was going to burn to DVD I always used a black pict file instead of the Media100 black clip to avoid the problem you describe.

    Output to tape and redigitize.

Check out eventstream in the manual of your compression app.
