@ Robert — I assume you are running Media 100 version 2.1.3 right?

Thanks Michael — I do use the ProRes codec and for most projects I just bring in the footage as ProRes right away.

A few projects have a lot of footage where little is used and that is where I’d like to use the “old workflow”, so to speak.

When it happens to me I stop it and start again within the batch reacquire box; the loss of sync message doesn’t come up the second time.

    Flo:

Your post from a little over 3 years ago is still helping. Had to reacquire some footage into M100 v2.01 from an old 640 x 480 Vincent Media 100 program and got the “Standard Mismatch” error. With your suggestion I was able to get the footage in.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the response André. I got a dvd cleaner and the drive does sound much quieter. Hopefully it will be speedier too!

Actually nothing looks good (jaggedy graphics, etc.) in my monitor or source windows within M100 but when I render it out it looks great in Quicktime.

Is there a preference for higher quality viewing in the monitor and/or source windows?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Flo and also for the codec info you supplied in another thread recently.

Not all my graphics are in the graphics track so for the few projects I have on the “Vincent” machine I think I’ll try the old trick (to use 640 x480 in DVD’s) of putting the footage in an AE comp adjusting by 1 pixel vertically and rendering to the Media 100i 720 codec.

    Again, thanks.

September 3, 2009 at 2:41 pm in reply to: Somewhat OT: Health Issues

I have set two recurrent alarms on my ical (Mac computer) everyday. 1 at 11:00am and 1 at 2:45pm.

It pops on my computer screen and says stretch and walk. Most of the time I actually do it.

7 minutes later I sit back down and get to work… or visit the COW!

I also walk when I play golf. I try to limit the “12 ounce curls” at the 19th hole.

    Cheers,
