Jagged text in composited video during ethernet transfer
Hello,
I’ve created a video with graphics at one workstation and am running it through to an AE5.5PB station G4osx via ethernet.
I have never had trouble with this setup, but I have something peculiar going on today. The video is noticebly deteriorated in AE and rendered that way. When the source file is viewed in QT or Squeeze on the same machine(ae5.5pb) the text is crisp.
I just installed Squeeze 4.1 and repaired my disk permissions once.
Any insight appreciated.

Hello Joe,
When you say deterioted text what happens if you output to say a broadcast monitor or tape? Is it still bad quality looking? Have you checked your render settings and display screen settings as well?

Thanks for replying Leo; yes its still bad and I have checked my settings, reinstalled AE and the Media 100 transcoder.
In AE the layer file is bad but the source file is ok.
A couple of things; my computer was on all night(it usually gets nights off) and I shut down the G4 before Turning off File Sharing on the Media 100 machine. (I usually terminate the file sharing connection before shutting down)

It does seem a weird problem. Has it only recently been doing this? have you added any software updates, new software to your machine?
