We consistently see “exported as reference and self-contained” movies with M100HD black clips (the command B black clips) that occur after and before fade-outs and fade-ins turn into white flashes in the m2v files. When we substitute a rendered black movie created in After Effects for the M100 black clips, everything works fine. We have not tried this with Bitvice yet and it’s not fatal as long as we remember to not use the Command B clips if we are going to compress M2v files. Has anyone else had an experience similar to this?
    Thanks,
    David

Try it with HD 10.1.2. Color clip export was changed slightly.

I don’t have the HD but in projects that I was going to burn to DVD I always used a black pict file instead of the Media100 black clip to avoid the problem you describe.
