When you say it looks fine on the monitor, do you mean an NTSC monitor or your computer screen? If your animation contains sharp and contrasting lines, it’s very possible for it to jitter. Search the AfterEffects forum for some ways to reduce the jitter.

Also, it could be the way the animation was encoded into mpg. I always use Cleaner to do the encoding for DVDs because I’ve found that it does a much better job than the Encore internal encoder.

I was able to smoothly finish a small 1.5 project in 2.0. However, there is a much larger project that I have to transfer over to 2.0. What you’re going through is making me worry…

I think with 1.5, if you want the next chapter button to function as the timeline end action, you have to insert a “secret” chapter point at the very end each timeline.

I went in and manually deleted almost all the temp files in the project folders created by Encore for the project. Basically deleted everything I could with Encore still able to open the project. Then it asked me to re-locate all the media files and reimported them. After all this, it was able to burn again.

    I’m using 2.0.
I had photoshop running the first time when I got the error. Then I closed everything else and tried again, still got the error.

In Nero, I think all you have to do is choose the DVD Video Disc option and drag over all the files from the Video_ts folder written by Encore. I believe it would also work if you simply burn the Video_TS folder as a data DVD.

another thought, I’ve had some problems with buring from an internal burner on our HP workstation, and the same project burned perfectly using the same computer, only with an external burner. After speaking with HP, I upgraded the firmware for the internal drive and that seems to have solved the problem. (Knocking on wood) I think the problem had to do with the way different burners writing lead-outs differently or something of that sort…
So, check to see if a firmware upgrade is available for your burner.

Yeah, that’s the idea I got from the info on the Sonic site. Then their flash demo threw me off again. The part I’m confused about is where you create the “linkless” buttons in Encore – the eDVD flash demo seems to show that you would need to assign some sort of link to those buttons in your original authoring environment…

I’ll try to post this to the eDVD forum as well, thanks.
(I wish Encore had this feature.)
