Mark _ Thanks. Did you encode this in Premiere or Encore? What settings did you use? What did you give up as far as quality? Does black look really black or is it grainey? Thanks again.

Maestro – That was amazing. You knew my exact delimea. The problem is that I have a very condensed delivery date and if I spend the time as you suggest, I might have to give somewhere else, like special features. I must say though, I can see where your approach would indeed make a signifacnt difference. All you have to do now, is make your own pluggin that has some intelligence built into based on your theroy and you can make some money. I know I would buy it!
Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. I actual can match it. I guess I wasn’t too clear as to what I am trying to achevive. I would like to keep the voice from the mixingboard because it is so clean. I then want to take the ausio from another camera and strip the voice just leaving the orchestra. Then I can marry the two.
Thanks again.

February 22, 2006 at 9:59 pm in reply to: Sluggish performance when creating dynamic links between PP and AETim – I do understand what you are saying, but I am not sure I agree with the point that it is the same performance if you were running AE and PP independently. I was able to run PP1.5 and AE6.5 at the same time with some performance issues, but nothing like this. I don’t know if it is the new versions or the dynamic link. I will try to do some tests to find out. I do believe it related to the dependency of the apps.
I have an additional question (Hardware) … Is it better to have a single 3.6 ghz hyper threaded machine or a 3.0 ghz dual-core processor? Is there much of a difference?
Thanks.

February 22, 2006 at 5:33 pm in reply to: Sluggish performance when creating dynamic links between PP and AEPaul – I am not sure if you are being sarcastic or not, but I have 2 GB of ram. I would have thought that would be enough but maybe not. I beginning to think that the Dynamic link functionality is really what everyone wants, but technically speaking it might be very limited because of performance problems. I wish there was a way that you could configure it to cache to disk. This would still provide you with the functionality and work flow and it would be manageable for those who only have 2 GB of Ram. Working from the Premiere Timeline and then branching out to AE when you need an effect or remapping of time makes so much sense.
One thing I think is somewhat disingenuous is the training DVDs that come with the bundle. They make it look like a snap.

I have it too! It is very frustrating. The strange thing is that it happens both on my laptop and my main PC at home. I find myself giving up so much by not having any motion blur.
If there is any resolution please let us know.
Thank you so much.
