AE 7.0 Timewarp and Dynamic link from Premiere problem
The new production suite is awesome and I am just scratching the surface. Although I can’t seem to get the new Timewarp Plugin to behave when it is tied to a dynamic link from Premiere. The problem is that I want to use the timewarp effect on a clip that is edited (let’s say 4 sec.). I created a Dynamic link from premiere to AE and then paste down the 4 sec edited clip in AE. So far so good. When I then apply the Time–> Timewarp effect, my clip is not the 4 sec edit. It is the whole clip from premiere (I think). The only work around is to first export the 4 sec clip from premiere and then import it into AE. I can do this, but I am spoiled with the integration enhancements already and this is so “pre-production suite 2.0”.
Any help would be greately appreciated.

This may be a weakness in AE’s rendering pipeline – in order to time stretch anything, AE needs “handles” that extend beyond the actual area being timewarped (the plugin cannot request those extra frames for processing if they are not physically there). I don’t think there’s any way to avoid the procedure you describe (but then again, I’m not using the entire suite, just AE and soon Encore a bit more ;o) )

I’ve noticed that Time warp does some strange stuff on clips and their in and out points
