OK, so it seems it’s not just a preview issue.
I’d reckon that if your asset duration matched your menu duration, you would not see this problem. You might want to try that as a workaround, if you’re looking for a quick solution.
If you have a little more time to poke around, you might want to try a shorter menu duration – does the same thing happen if its duration is 15 seconds? If not, find out how far you can push it before the problem shows itself.

Have you already rendered your motion menu once?
You must select a menu, timeline, slideshow, or playlist for “Preview from Here” to be active. Assets themselves can only be previewed if they are in in a timeline.

Is this happening only in Encore Preview mode, or have you seen this behavior on a burned DVD?

Which version of Encore, and Mac or Windows?
Also, what’s the duration & loop point timecodes for the motion menu? (you can find this in Menu properties)

DVD replication from Encore has always been possible, if you master to DLT.
This is good news about Blu-ray images being replicable, though – thanks for sharing it!

You can also export the menu from Encore as a PSD – look in the “Menu” menu. 🙂

When you import a PSD as a menu, Encore creates a duplicate of it and puts it into the project folderSourcesMenus folder.
From then on, this duplicate file is the PSD you are working in in Encore and when you edit the menu in Photoshop.

Sorry, but I’m not sure I understand. What are you trying to make bigger? The bounds of the button?
