  • Did you set your Loop Point value?

The button highlighting should come on at the Loop Point timecode.

I’ve heard of this happening before. If you have any steps to reliably reproduce it, I’d love to hear them.

Just taking a shot in the dark, but try resetting the Loop Point to zero, delete the video and audio background, then reset the video/audio background and reset the Loop Point, then re-render the motion menu.

    Does that help?

    It’s not a feature, but a bug.

If it’s really bugging you 😉 , then revert the audio track to its untranscoded state and you should have no further trouble unless you transcode the audio again.

And yes, this bug does not occur on the burned DVD.

You sure can: make a separate menu with sound for each button that you want sound on, then go back to your original menu, and link each button to each menu. Finally, set all the buttons on your original menu to Auto-Activate if you want them to go to the menu when you navigate to the button.

Encore does not currently support multi-angle.

If you would like to see this in a future version of Encore, please file a feature request at .

It could very well be that you already have Encore 1.5.1 installed.

When you go to Help > About Adobe Encore DVD, what is the build number listed at the bottom of the screen?

Does the DVD have one title (timeline)?

You could do it more simply by not setting any First Play, and then the Play command will play your timeline.

If there is more than one timeline, make sure the title you want to play when the DVD player is stopped is the first timeline you create in the project.

    Hi Joe also 😉

If you have a website, you could zip the PSD file and post a link to it here. If you don’t, let me know and I’ll post an email address and you can send me the zipped PSD.

    Thanks,
    Joe

May 1, 2005 at 2:35 pm in reply to: Full Stop Play doesn’t return to Main Menu

My DVD player announces, “Press stop only once and DVD will Resume Play from this position. If you press stop twice DVD will Play from the Main Menu upon resume.”

I don’t know how your DVD player can make such an announcement, as that is purely a function of how the disc was authored. I have several DVD players, and when you are in a Hollywood DVD title and hit stop twice, hitting play again most often restarts the first title on the disc. And menus are not titles on a DVD, although there are title menus.

You can set up a ‘dummy’ PGC which points to a menu. In Encore, titles are timelines, and are written to disc in the order in which they are created. So to do the ‘dummy PGC’ trick, you would create an empty timeline first in your project, then later link its end action to your title menu. When you fully stop the player, hitting play again will play your first title, which immediately jumps to your title menu.

    Hope it helps,
    Joe
