Update problem for 1.5.1
I am trying to install the 1.5.1 update but the install is not working. It says to specify the folder and I am but the error is that it needs to be where the Encore program is installed. There are no folders per se, but the exe file is in the directory I am specifying.
Any thoughts on this?
The computer says to reinstall from the disc which I have done to no avail.
I gotta get this DVD out as I am under a few film fest deadlines.

Just a thought, the folder isn’t set as read only is it?
Did you change the default install directory when you first installed the full app?

It could very well be that you already have Encore 1.5.1 installed.
When you go to Help > About Adobe Encore DVD, what is the build number listed at the bottom of the screen?

Maybe I do have it….it says DVD Encore 1.5 Build 1.5.1.42735
But if that is the case and I actually was able to animate the menu, the bigger picture is that the program will not burn my DVD. I posted some other posts regarding the error and what I have been doing to try and get to burn.
something tells me i need to try the simplest thing and try and burn that. Also does the transcoding have anything to do with potential errors or the type of DVD Burner? I have the Sony Burner that burns +R and -R.
Just some more thoughts.

I just tried to set up the most basic DVD. I inported the transcoded footage, grabbed a menu and set the link to the default play. I checked for errors, then tried to build, but i get that abnormal error deal. I think something bigger is at work here.
Any thoughts?
