Encore does not support multiple video clips in a timeline.

    Sorry,

No, that shouldn’t be an issue.

Encore 1.0.1 did have a problem with rendered motion menu projects if they weren’t built to DVD, though.

Clarification: they do the same thing when over a button.

Usually, the Play button and Enter button for a DVD player do the same thing.

Is/was there a rendered motion menu in the project?

  • You mean fade the opacity of the menu? Nope, no way to do that in Encore alone. Use AE or PPro to create a video background to apply to your Encore menu.

So, today I reopened the project I made with your menu yesterday, and it displays the same way: the button highlights are right on the money. I can think of no explanation for what you were seeing.

Hopefully the workaround I provided works for you.

You can select multiple buttons, then check the Property checkbox…should save you some time. Also, of course, don’t create the subpictures (so you don’t have to delete them later).

I’ll be checking your menu tomorrow.

    Cheers,

Encore doesn’t support multiple angles yet. You might want to file a feature request at Adobe’s site if this is something you’d like to see supported in Encore.

Got your email (thanks for sending it). However, the button highlights do not move out of position for me. Any further steps to reproduce it?

Maybe this will help you quickly solve your problem: since your button highlights are based on the text, use the text as subpicture instead of creating them as you are. You can do this from Button properties (it’s a checkbox in the Properties palette- you’ll have to delete the existing subpicture layers first or afterward). Hope this tip helps you.
