  • Possible to make Play button = Enter button?

    Hello!

I am authoring a DVD with several timelines and several menus which each have 1 invisible button. Each timeline’s end action brings up a new menu, and the invisible button on each of these menus links to the next timeline, etc, etc. Since there is only one button on each menu, it will always be selected by default, and all you have to do to play the next timeline is press “Enter”. But what if I don’t want to use the remote control, and the DVD player I’m using doesn’t have an “Enter” button, only a “Play” button? Is there a way to author this DVD so that the “Play” button on the DVD player does the same thing as the “Enter” button on the remote control and the next timeline starts playing?

    Kind regards,
    Eric

Usually, the Play button and Enter button for a DVD player do the same thing.

Clarification: they do the same thing when over a button.

Thank you for your reply! I’ll try that. On the remote control it does not do the same thing, but it solves my problem if it works like that on the actual front panel of the set-top player. 🙂

    Kind regards,
    Eric

I am having this same problem. Was there a solution?

I am getting DVDs returned because users can’t figure out that you have to push “enter.” Pushing “play” on either the remote or the player itself (when the button is highlighted in the menu) does not make the item play.

How do you make the “play” button work?
