The Sonic codebase that Encore uses does not support terabyte volumes. This may very likely change in the future, but that is the situation as it is right now.

It’s the terabyte drive, unfortunately.
If you can partition it, or save to another local volume less than a terabyte in size, you should be able to proceed without any further problems.

OK, you’ve got Encore 1.5.1 installed.
I’ve never seen the problem you are reporting before. I can’t recall anyone else reporting it, either. Can you post a menu which fails so I can download it and check it out?

Do you get an error message? If so, what’s the exact message?
How much drive space have you got? And what’s your drive formatted as? FAT32 or NTFS? Finally, what’s the size of your drive?

I thought it was a pretty straight-forward reply: Can you tell me your build number? It should be listed in the about box as 1.x.x.xxxxx.
I’d like to know what your build number is before I answer.

Copy protection cannot be added to recordable DVDs…only replicated DVDs. If you want copy protection, you’ll have to deliver the project on DLT to a DVD replication facility (build a DVD Master from Encore, which writes the data to a DLT drive).

Loop Point specifies two things: when button highlights are turned on, and where the menu loops back to after it has played.
It’s not possible (in Encore), to return to a motion menu at a certain timecode value. For this kind of functionality, you would need two menus.

Are you letting Encore use the Automatic transcode setting, or did you choose a preset?
If you used Automatic, Encore should find the bit rate that will fit for the chosen disc size. Anything else and you end up having to manually bit budget.

You should be able to fit an hour of video onto a single layer DVD with no problems.
What format are you importing? AVI or MPEG-2?
