There is a 1 GB limitation enforced by the DVD-Video spec…which would be thousands of menus. However, you are limited by RAM requirements.
A practical number would be somewhere around 200-300.

Your system somehow no longer associates PSD files with Photoshop.
Select a PSD, right-click on it and choose Open With > Choose Program, then select Photoshop in the list, then click the “Always use selected program…” checkbox.
From here on out, Edit In Photoshop should open the menu in Photoshop.

You want to create a motion menu, correct? Sounds like you’re using the 2.0 tryout.
From the Project panel alt-drag the video clip into an open menu to set it as the video background. If you have already animated your buttons in AE 6.5, then you’ll want to import the images (PSD?) that you used into the Library panel, then drag each one into your menu and align them to the buttons you animated in After Effects.
There’s more, but this should be enough to get you started. Look up “motion menu” in the online help and you should find more info that will help you piece it all together. And ask here if anything is unclear.

It indicates which menu you go to when a timeline is playing and you press the Menu button on your DVD player remote control.

Encore prefers separate video and audio streams (the exception is AVI, which is usually video and audio interleaved). Separate streams will not introduce any sync issues, unless there are issues with video and audio sync before importing into Encore. Preferred audio format is PCM WAV, 16-bit 48kHz.

What mechanism are you using to Play All? End actions, or a playlist? Are you using any overrides?

Encore 1.0 will not support dual-layer DVD burning, so you’ll want to upgrade to Encore 2.0.
Also note that Encore supports on DVD+R DL at this time. Any burner that supports this format should do- Pioneer and NEC devices work quite well.
Disc compatibility is another issue entirely- most really old players will not recognize DVD+R DL disc, but most recent models will.

Using Encore 2.0, it is expected that all players will execute the end action of the timeline.

Premiere Pro 2 can’t do exactly what Steve was asking, either. The DVD-Video spec just doesn’t support it. Two separate timelines would be the only way to do it.
