p.s. I should add that no DVD authoring application can do exactly what you are asking for…DVD-Video supports only one video stream displayed at a time.

Sorry, but no. Encore still supports only a single video track, but multiple video clips within the single video track.

I don’t know eDVD other than what I have read, but I believe that it will work with PowerDVD and WinDVD, presumably without installing InterActual Player…check the eDVD page on Sonic’s website.

Yes, Encore 2 timeline video tracks support multiple video clips.

Encore 1.5 projects are supported. However, once saved in Encore 2.0, they can’t be re-opened in version 1.5. If that’s important to you, SaveAs your 1.5 project in 2.0- then you’ll be able to open the original project in 1.5 if needs be.
Photoshop support is pretty much the same, except added support for some Photoshop CS2 features.

Yes, Encore 2.0 can read and write to networked volumes.

Look into Sonic eDVD. It works with Encore and other DVD authoring tools.

Yes, that makes perfect sense. But unfortunately, the answer is again “no”- that’s the pretty much the same functionality as hyperlinking from a menu, except going to a local path instead of a URL.
There are other tasty features, though- such as chapter end actions and chapter playlists (which work like stories in DVDSP, allowing you to use the same media multiple times without adding to disc size).
