What version of Encore are you using?

Pretty self-explanatory- it’s telling you Encore won’t execute the timeline end action because the last chapter point has an end action. If you’re fine with that, ignore it. Otherwise, either change the last chapter point end action to Not Set- then the timeline end action can play.

You couldn’t do all of this in Encore. Buttons with video thumbnails and Loop Point, yes- but not the rest.
Use After Effects or Premiere to create the video background in its entirety, export an AVI or MPEG-2, import it into Encore and then set is a background to a menu using Loop Point and subpicture layer-only buttons to put it all together.

I don’t know why your file keeps triggering the audio conform, but try exporting separate video and audio files. If that’s not possible, try demuxing the file with one of the freeware utilities up on http://www.videohelp.com, then make sure the audio is AIFF/WAV, 16 bit 48 kHz.

This is a question that should be answered by your replicator- if they accept DVD-R, then you should be all set. If not, you’ll have to deliver them a DLT, or find a replicator that will accept DVD-R (most don’t accept DVD+R).

A DVD+R is not the proper mastering medium for what you are trying to do.
When you master a DVD with copy protection, you add the copy protection keys to the project settings, and then write the project to DLT tape, and send the tape to the replicator. Your replicator should know that it’s not possible to add copy protection to a burned DVD. If they don’t know that, you don’t want to be dealing with them.
To sum up- it’s not possible to write copy protection (CGMS CSS and/or Macrovision) to a burned DVD-Video disc. It can only be mastered to a DLT device. Sorry for the bad news, but maybe it actually helps.

You can do it without Photoshop.
Open the button layer set in the Layers panel, then delete the subpicture layer you don’t want (it has the =1 prefix). Then select the button and choose Object > Create Subpicture- your entire button will be used to create a new subpicture layer.

You hide the layers in Encore’s Layers panel. Are you saying you can’t hide them from there? Are they locked?

Yes, but this is not a specific Encore function other than muxing two audio tracks into the VOB file. The player is what switches the audio tracks.
