December 29, 2015 at 1:53 am in reply to: how to eliminate audio dropouts when using firestore & m2tI just recently tried this and couldn’t get it to work. Does it matter what OS is being used? I have tried on 2 computers. One that was using XP and another running Windows 7. Dos gives me a sytax error.
I’m usually using 2 cameras that start at different time so pulling audio from second camera when the first cam’s audio drops has worked in the past. However, this time I am stuck with sections where the audio has been “lost” during the end of one clip and the beginning of the next.
If there is another way to do this. Please let me know. Thank you!

February 2, 2012 at 7:56 am in reply to: Purchasing new wireless audio equipment, what bands are recommended? Thanks for the information, I’m contacting reps from different companies to find what will work best for the area where we film now. I did see on Shure’s site a list of available frequencies generated by giving them our area code. I’ll investigate further.

Can you create a blank project and successfully import the AVI?
NoCan you import any other AVI into project#1? There should be an auto-saved version from before the corruption.
NoDid you create the AVI, or is it from another source?.
The AVI was created from a Blu-ray disc using a ripper called AVS4you.

That does seem unnecessary. I have been using uncompressed 8 bit to preserve old projects that are finished. The video files were proprietary to an old system that we don’t use anymore. We wanted to have the project preserved in a better format (AVI) for better compatibility with other systems in the future.
So for importing from DVCAM I will stick with the fire wire. There does not seem to be a need to sacrifice all that disk space for a marginal to no return on the quality of the video.
Thank you!

October 6, 2009 at 10:21 pm in reply to: Overlaying a PSD from Photoshop over video in Premiere!Problem solved. We found out that we were only experiencing this problem on Matrox Sequences but it is easy to fix. You have to select the sequence you are working on the go to:
Sequence> Sequence settings> Playback settings> then we changed the video Luma level from Post Production to Broadcast.
Then the Tiffs we made from the timeline matched the video when exported from Photoshop as PSDs looked great.
Thank Matrox for the solution and everyone else for the help! -
