I fear that won’t allow matchframe to the original, Michael, nor track timecode.

If the editor needs to work with a mixdown, this should be delivered by the production sound team.

I think you are OK as long as you don’t turn the monitors off. Sleep should work, but it may depend on your graphics card. If your graphics card detects a change, MC will respond.

  • As others mention, Import P2 was replaced with AMA. However, if you need the ‘old’ way, just open your project, open AMA settings, and disable AMA. This should bring Import P2 back in the File menu.

Not that I know of. You have “step back 8/10 frames”. Also, if you type “+100” on the numerical keypad, you advance 1 second (or “+100f” to advance 100 frames). After that, hitting ENTER on the numerical keypad repeats that, without the need to type the amount again.

Shane is right, by the way, no need to reinstall 5.x if your goal is a running v6 system. That should install from its own installer, with its own activation code.

Peter, that is rather unfortunate, and not at all the way it should be. Apparently, something is wrong with your Avid website account, but the fact that your calls to the activation phone numbers were hung up is a really bad thing, and not one that is common.

Usually, when things like that happen, an email to Customer_Advocate@avid.com gets this sorted out rather quickly, but it so happens that this email address won’t be monitored until Monday (this rarely happens).

For the moment, see if you can find any help here:
    https://community.avid.com/forums/t/99212.aspx

I also recommend you try the phone numbers for activation / deactivation again, as that should be the way to go about this.

December 1, 2011 at 7:09 pm in reply to: WTF!!! No Adrenaline!

I’m very sorry that this information did not reach you in time. It was announced early 2011 that Adrenaline and Classic Nitris were EOL with the “next major release” (which turned out to be v6).

Nitris DX is most certainly still certified.

A message about Classic Nitris and Adrenaline being EOL’d was sent to registered customers, an announcement was made on the website, on various forums, and a trade-in promotion to Nitris DX was being offered during the first half of 2011, IIRC.

You probably don’t want to hear this right now, but you might consider replacing the Adrenaline with one of the many 3rd party options that have become available with MC6. They are relatively cheap, and all of them support HD.

See here: https://www.aja.com/support/io/io-express_archive.php. You’d need 9.0.5 for Mac.

Only use the exact driver version specified by Avid for any third party product for your particular version of Avid.
