No import P2 option in trial version? Or am I missing something?
Posted by Justin Ferar on December 2, 2011 at 7:56 amJust downloaded MC6 and installed the trial. I was under the impression that it was fully functional.
Under the “file” menu there is no “import P2” option. What am I missing?

December 2, 2011 at 8:32 amYou don’t import that way anymore. Use the LINK TO AMA VOLUME option. Then consolidate.

December 2, 2011 at 8:40 amWas there any “import p2” option in MC4 and up? I don’t remember there being one. Yes just AMA it.

December 2, 2011 at 9:19 amAs others mention, Import P2 was replaced with AMA. However, if you need the ‘old’ way, just open your project, open AMA settings, and disable AMA. This should bring Import P2 back in the File menu.

I tried the AMA way and it still came up with errors.
It was then that I found out that one must install the Avid MXF plugin and then install the P2 plugin.
Total Avid newbie here!
Now that I have the P2 files in I can see something odd/wrong with the output image from the Black Magic Intensity card. It looks as though it is being output at half resolution : (
Weird!
