Which version specifically? Might be a resurfacing bug.

Open the Command Palette (CMD-3 or CTRL-3) and make sure that at the bottom you have “button to button” reassignment selected.

Under Audio Settings, make sure you have your default pan set the way you had it before (either “all tracks centered” or “alternating L/R”).
Even better, use stereo tracks. Clip->Modify->Set Multichannel Audio. -
You shouldn’t change that timecode manually. If you need to alter timecodes to sync, copy the Start TC to an AuxTC column, modify that and sync based on that AuxTC.
Also, you should have told MC that the source has 25TC. Again, the TC rate does NOT change the playback speed.

You need to put those WAV files in the right folder structure for MC to see them.
X:/OMFI MediaFiles/12345xyz.wav
Note that this OMFI MediaFiles needs to be on the root of your media drive in order for MC to see it.
This is a _different_ folder from X:/Avid MediaFiles/MXF/….. -
I think MC has a trial version of iZotope Insight, which does not normalize your mix but rather is a metering system.

And FWIW: whoever decided to use two additional frame rates for this has made a terrible call.

You’ll need to speed up the 23.976fps footage to 24.000fps and slow down the 25fps to 24.000fps. You should not bake in any frame rate conversion. If you’re on a recent version of MC you should be able to set a playback rate in Source Settings. If this is double system, sound will need to be treated separately.

Having read up on it, I would be a little worried that a 23″ screen with that high a resolution would cause everything in the Media Composer interface to become really, really tiny.
