  • Why Avid MC 8 consolidates audio files when I choose copy all?

Posted by Brigitta Bacskai on August 11, 2016 at 10:42 am

I’ve been using MC for many years , I always chose the same method for making AAF for post sound: Include audio, all tracks, use marks, use selected tracks, aaf edit protocoll, copy all media, same folder as aaf. It always worked with MC 7 and previous and now, with 8 it keeps consolidating the audio files to 60 frames.

Does anyone have any solution for this?

    Thanks!

Can you post a picture of all your AAF export settings?

this one was the first. Then I tried with converted audio sample rate 48, bit depth 24 and file format to WAV, and also without the AAF protocol but I got the same 60 frame consolidated files.

Try new a different User Setting or create a new setting.

Thanks, I forgot to mention but I already tried that, too. Not working.

Which version specifically? Might be a resurfacing bug.

The version is 8.5.3. So only downgrade would help?

No, I’m not saying that. I have had similar issues in v7.something.
