That is indeed an annoying issue, and I’m sorry but I don’t have a solution for it. If no one answers with a solution, Peter Smith made a similar post on Feb. 16th that was unfortunately never answered, so you might try responding to his post and hopefully he will get an email and had found a solution.

    Good luck.

If you want the Sky and Floor to reflect in your object, but not be seen in the rendered image, add a compositing tag to each (Tags > CINEMA 4D Tags > Compositing), and deselect “Seen by Camera” in the Tag Properties.

If your chrome texture has too much noise and blur dig into the texture’s settings and decrease or remove any fresnel, noise, blur, etc.

Thanks for the update, Sean. I’m glad you got it working normally again. Chalk it up to rebellious electrons.

Holding the “J” key while dragging in the viewport will scrub the timeline. Is there any chance your keyboard’s “J” key is stuck?

[Gabriel Vallecillo] ” I apply nitroblast, remove the floor and the broken pieces of the wall continue to fall onto some surface.”

You probably baked the animation, which would need to be cleared to allow for new dynamics with the floor removed.

To activate dust enter something in the “Name” window, click “Create,” and NitroBlast will add an X-PyroCluster object to the project and add it to the “Particle Group” window. Select “Enable” to activate.

I just happened to see the online video tutorial which is why I mentioned it, but in working through it I see the same issue you experienced. For some reason the trail no longer renders when the trail deformer is added. But I did find an example project I got from Insydium which uses an xpSplineMesher to create geometry for the trail to render. Here is a simplified version of that project file. Hope it helps.

    11108_xptraildeformerexample.c4d.zip

Edit: the full version of that project, along with others, is available on the X-Particles Video Manual page at the very bottom under “3.5 Downloads.”

You might also try an xpTrailDeformer as a child of the Trail. It can be found under “Other Objects.”

I am aware of that. I was just showing you the result of opening your file. What do you mean by an “unusable” position of the 3D layer which is readily seen in the image?

I imported the .aec file and opened the ANIMATION_TEST_3_ comp. Here is the result:
