I’m just starting to learn C4D, this is probably a very newbie question, but I’m getting ready to throw my laptop out the window….

I cannot select or move anything in my scene. All of my mouse commands only manipulate the camera. I’m on a Mac, and my option (alt) key is not stuck. I have tried other programs and they operate normally. I’m guessing I accidentally activated some navigation mode or something…?

    Thanks for your help!

That is indeed an annoying issue, and I’m sorry but I don’t have a solution for it. If no one answers with a solution, Peter Smith made a similar post on Feb. 16th that was unfortunately never answered, so you might try responding to his post and hopefully he will get an email and had found a solution.

    Good luck.

In doing a quick search for mouse issues like yours, the only solution I found was reinstalling C4D. So if all else fails, and no one can offer a solution, that would be my next suggestion. You could always try Maxon support first, and see if they have any answers.

Yeah. I restarted the computer…. I was hoping to figure out if it was something I did.

    Thanks!

Ok, good to know. I should have suggested that at the outset, but I guess I mistakenly assumed that you would have already tried that. I’m glad you got it worked out.
