[Jineesh kottiyoor] “Thats something really new for me. Is it possible to share a scene where you used more than 8 lights.”
I have never created a project where I used that many lights on purpose. I was simply testing to see if I could reproduce your issue, and even after adding 50 lights they were all working fine.

I cannot reproduce your issue in either AE CC2017 or CS6 on a Mac. I have added 50 spot lights to a scene (both with and without an Element 3D layer) and they all remain illuminated.
Good luck.

The number of letters shouldn’t matter as long as you modify the cloner and effector to take that into account. I am able to change the text and have it all render properly. Upload your modified project and I’ll take a look at it.

The easiest way would be to render out two movies (or image sequences), one with the background and the first sign, and the second with only the other sign and no background, and with an alpha channel. In AE you would just place the second movie over the first to composite the two.
Otherwise, there are lots of tutorials for C4D to AE workflows, so look around and hopefully you’ll find something that fits your needs.
Good luck.

In the Filter menu of the viewport you probably inadvertently disabled “Generator.” Click it again to enable it.

The text is changed in the MoText attributes > Object > Text

Because you have the traffic light for “show in editor” disabled for the MoText object the text will not show until rendered, which is also the case with the blue background object (back 1).

If only the blue background is rendered then perhaps you have also disabled the “render” traffic light for the MoText (which is not the case in your uploaded version). If you change your text to include more letters than the original file you may have to increase the size and count of the cloner array in order to have enough cubes to create the letters, plus you will also need to increase the size of the random effector, or increase its final scale keyframe, so that all the letters will be formed by it.
Hope this helps.

[Nick Bruzek] “The project I am working on has 2 similar signs. one swings up from the bottom, and the other swings down from the top. I liked the rocking back and forth that you get with the connectors and I guess I was kind of hoping to get that from the bottom sign.”
You’ve probably already figured this out, but if not: Use Brian’s third solution for the top sign, while using dynamics and connectors for the bottom one. Or make a separate project for each sign using dynamics, altering gravity as necessary for the particular sign, and then composite in AE.

September 13, 2017 at 4:00 pm in reply to: Changing the Plain Effector falloff to give it more of an overshoot effectYes, I kind of cheated by starting very small, but it was the only way I could get the overshoot you were looking for. A C4D expert, which I’m not, could probably come up with a better way. I’m glad it helped.

What particle system are you using? I don’t know of any way to use different shapes as emitters in C4D’s system, but if you’re using X-Particles you can use any object or spline as an emitter by setting Emitter Shape to “Object” and placing an object or spline into the Object window.

Here’s one way to set up what I think you’re trying to do:
