Not many companies allows for connecting to the internal network through WiFi (and with good reason).

Here we use a postgres server installed on a server running Ubuntu directly from the Ubuntu repository.

Just make sure that the server has remote access and that you make a user specifically for davinci. Davinci itself takes care of creating the databases etc.

Funny you should mention OpenColorIO. The new OCIO nodes in Nuke 6.3v7 actually clips (at 1.25) when going to rec709.
The normal colorspace converter in Nuke doesn’t clip anything when going to rec709.

Yes, FFMPEG is a command line tool. However it’s based upon libavcodec (which actually is the one which have gotten prores support). Libavcodec is also used in the Linux version of Nuke, so with an updated libavcodec library for the Nuke writer in Linux and you got prores support.
