Yes, I’m curious how this 650M would do compared to a GTX285, which is the fastest I’m used to at this point?

I looked at the specs on the Nvidia site, and the 650M seems to have a higher clock and more cores, but bandwidth is less than a 285.

Possibly for 1080p video only (+GUI, of course), the bandwidth is enough?

The 650M should perform significantly faster than the 285. In theory. I would guess comparable to a gtx470.

Though if this is being used to work the display could this then not be used for cuda?

There is an integrated gpu which can run GUI, freeing 650m for CUDA.

I think that is auto switching like all of the Macbook-Pro’s and that you can use either the Intel 4000 GPU or the 650m but not both at the same time.

To display. This is the same as before with the last nvidia gpu on 17″. GUI on integrated. Processing on discreet.

Not many companies allows for connecting to the internal network through WiFi (and with good reason).

yes but we can not say it is not possible in tech sense. have usb lan then.

different question is if osx supports it.
