I can’t see the issue on my iPhone but I\’m wondering if you are seeing interlaced footage on your other camera? If so that can be removed with de-interlace filter.

How does the Trifecta Dolly breakdown for shipping, carrying? Are the rails angle iron and how do they join at each section?

This looks quite interesting. Am I understanding this right that this unit acts like a motion stabilizer (steadicam). This is the unit I got for handheld work, https://www.cavision.com/pictures/EX3/EX3fullset_2.htm
It’s not bad but it’s still handheld without stabilization.

I haven’t had too much problem with blowing out highlites but my preference is -3 so that I open up the aperture which helps to decrease the depth of field.

That is quite strange. I don’t think the striping will work because you aren’t inserting with the DSR-11 but assembling. Beta decks would allow an insert edit on a striped tape to retain tc but I don’t think your deck does. My Dsr-25 doesn’t anyway.
The Dv-cam might be an option, wouldn’t hurt to try it. Also maybe lay the whole capture to a timeline and print to tape. Time consuming but might get you a tc to work with.

Is your recording deck actually creating new timecode or just mirroring the original source timecode? Are the decks linked with FireWire or component/composite cabling?

I would use the blade tool on your long clips and trim away the unwanted black video and then use the close all gaps command.

I’m dual booting so I have 10.5.8 and 10.6.2.
I am running two Samsung monitors, DVI on one and Mini-Display on the other. So I started swapping monitors. Samsung on the Mini-Display was fine, Samsung on the DVI jumped. And not just the mouse but the keyboard too. Since they run the USB cable through each I think this is a USB issue when the DVI plug is used with a DVI monitor.
I ended up using a VGA cable with DVI adapter on the computer and VGA to the second monitor and it works fine. Straight DVI didn’t.
Kind of ironic that I upgraded for working in HD digital video and the problem is resolved with an analog cable.

You could copy the one you want and then select content in the paste attributes over the one you want to change. .
