The workflow I’ve thought of since is to review all footage after a project is finished in Prelude and do one of the following.
If there is footage we want to save as broll in our library, we will export them as ProRes 422. If there are interviews we want to save, we will export as ProRes with 4 channels of audio. It took me a while to figure out how to export multiple channels, but to do it make a new preset in Adobe Media Encoder, and under the Audio tab you can set how many channels of audio to export. Change from stereo to 4 channels.
It adds the extra step of reviewing and transcoding footage after a project is done, but this way we will be able to organize and search our library through Finder.
Anyone else have thoughts or ideas?
