Pleasantly surprised that the FCP7’s VO tool worked in Mountain Lion. In Lion it would always crash the app. Haven’t tried iChat theater with Mountain Lion yet, but the beta of Messages (iMessage) on Lion did break iChat theater for me.

i noticed this recently with my kona lhi. seems a little intermittent. try a few different easy setups with different frame rates etc then set your external view settings to your seq type. that seemed to snap it back into place.

for example I was working in 720p 23.98 and it was a little out of sync. I used the prores 1080 29.97 easy setup, set my external video back to my seq type and was all good

does this happen when the playhead hits an empty part in the timeline? I having a similar issue if the playhead starts on an empty part of a timeline it goes all crazy. Ive been putting in slug to deal with it temporarily.

thanks for the response. These are just tests with 2pops etc. Trying different resolutions and frame rates to find out how consistent it is.

We do most of our HD delivery out of house so its not killing us. Just when we send out tapes for picture ref etc. Try to do tapeless as much as I can these days.

Was hoping this would fix some of our down-convert issues but our picture is still off 1 frame and our audio is off 2 when we lay to digi most of the time (every once and a while itll be on which really makes me pull my hair out).

I’ve been having a similar issue. Turn off mirror on desktop see if it goes away. Thats been the only workaround ive been able to figure out

I’ve been having this issue on and off since we get our Kona LHI cards. Lately it’s been very annoying. I’ve tried everything listed here. Did anyone have any luck on sorting this out?

is this documented anywhere? I called aja about this when we first got the LHI and they acted like they never heard of this and that something was wrong with out setup. I’ve done test after test trying to isolate the issue.

We are having the same issue. When we downconvert are program is 1 frame late on the tape. The first frame hits at the right point usually 00:59:00:00 but it must dupe the first frame or something cause the program is 1 frame off.

this is happening on 2 new machines.
