Something else that might be worth knowing is if anyone had fitted on of these mac flashed pc 4870 cards with I gig of vram and has used it in FCP/Motion/Color.

I had this problem on my new MacPro, font appeared everywhere except FCP. I got rid of it in font book and rebooted and all is fine.
I was told it could be that the font is installed twice, once under the user and once in the lib.

Thanks Adolfo, good point about doing it the new way, only thing is the path text and jitter have a nice looking ease in/out without having to do anything which is always a plus.
Time to move up to the new way of doing things with MB as it does look very smooth.
