I think you should transfer the AVI’s to QT movies using same frame rate/size and set it to be 48khz. You could either use the same codec you’ve used already or change that to ProRes.

You can’t just drag and drop the files from the failing drive to another location? That’s where I’d start. Check the copies by opening them.

What video formats are you working with? Source footage was what? Post the sequence settings too.
When you export the video, are you changing formats or?

What’s a “flip” site? is it an ftp site? If so you need to get some ftp software. There are some that are free I think, just google ftp software for Mac.

Tried nesting the repeating audio clips, then fade out the nest over a long period?

“force output” is really what a render is supposed to be.
But unfortunately, there are times when the preview looks fine, but the render isn’t. Happens. Corrupt renders happen too. It’s relatively rare.
You see much less of this sort of thing when recording pro formats. DV, HDV, and AVCHD are more or less the low end of recording formats. And AVC Intra, ProRes recordings from devices like the AJA KiPro, and HDCAM, XDCAM, just work better with everything IMHO.

Can’t export preview files.
But you might try exporting the speed changed clips one at a time to Motion, then use optical flow for the speed change renders there.

I like Graeme Nattress’ filter for this. I’d transcode the footage you want to NTSC before you edit.

Compressor will also do the transfer, but it’s not quite as nice and not as fast.
