Save the project files to your documents folder. If it still gives the error, repair permissions on the startup disk. (Done from Apple’s Disk Utility in the Utilities folder in the apps folder).

You need to pin down where this is happening. Is it viewable externally before you make the QT movies? If not, figure you should reinstall QuickTime.

Fraid not, but you could keep current projects together in a folder, then simply click on the one you want… don’t have to use file/open…

What was the operation you were trying to do when the message appeared? It can be attributed to an edit or other command you can’t do… not likely it’s an admin problem.

AND it only works with camera masters… It’s using the time of day code built into a DV-25 cameras. When it sees a jump in time (every camera pause would cause this in time of day code) it creates a marker.

I’m wrong about the above… it’s probably not going to fix the sync…
By changing the frame offset value in Final Cut Pro, you can compensate for the delay
between your computer display and external video and audio outputs. Frame offset is
active only when your sequence real-time effects are handled by Final Cut Pro.I’d suggest that you monitor it all externally… is that what you’re doing?

You can change the frame offset in FCP’s System settings (Playback control tab). Might change that offset from the standard 4 frames… this is if I’m reading right… you are monitoring FROM FCP to a TV Set and then monitoring audio thru a speaker system right? Both coming from the canopus box?

Well… if the nest was created by dragging a sequence to a sequence, that nest will update. If it’s a copy from a nested sequence to another place in any other or same sequence, it won’t update.
i.e. has to be the original nest to update, and copies of nests don’t update.

I’d buy the BVM if you are sure it’s ONLY that old… Monitors will go for a long time and that one was a color corrector’s dream for it’s size But I’m seeing used ones of that model selling for a LOT more than 500 pounds, so I wonder… if it’s the real deal, and isn’t ancient or something, it’s a bargain.
