What are you using as a scratch disk? How full is it? I’ve only seen FCP on a mini running the top of the line box, so could be that the computer isn’t up to it… It runs OK on an i7 Server model I know.

You should use Color for grading video… it has what you’re after for sure.

Pretty simple… they aren’t locked as a stereo pair.

Select both tracks, then turn off stereo pair in the modify menu.

Seems to me all you need to do is set the system to ignore permissions on that G-Raid.

You can increase the duration of those PS files. Just type the duration you need it to be in the Browser’s Duration Column for that clip.

If you import stills they have a duration of 2 minutes. So when you tell the prefs to import them with a duration of 6 seconds, the in and outs will be in the middle of the clip so you’ll have plenty of handles for transitions…. just grab them in the order you want them and drag them al to a sequence…

Those Dell monitors have been a favorite around here for a long time. You HAVE to run Resolve? how bout somethin’ else? Not sure what though.. I suppose Adobie’s new grading software might be interesting. If you’re going to buy a card that works with everything, Decklink’s it… Sans resolve, everything else comes into play… AJA’s new stuff is very interesting… you on a tower, right? Do they have a solution for an iMac and Resolve?
You can’t run a second computer display without a decklink card or external video? I thought external video was what supplied only by the Decklink.
