I used the anchor point for centering the zoom effect and that is what the procedure on which this is based:
Place CTI at the front of the image, anchor point will be fixed by default at center of image. At the point where the zoom begins set keyframe for the zoom first to get the zoom effect desired (amount of zoom). Next, while zoomed in, move the H and v postions of the anchor point so that the focus piont of the zoom (part of object to which zoom is centering) so that the anchor point is image is lined up correctly to center the zoom point. Now back out of the zoom to the first zoom keyframe and line up the first keyframe of the anchor point so that the anchor point is still centerd along the zoom axis. You can slightly move the picture inside the output window to center it in the frame when testing your setup.
Let me know if you have any difficulty with this.

Thanks for you input Adolfo, I figured it out and got it to work just fine in PP CS3. The help files were of no HELP as usual, why do they even bother on such subjects?? If you are interested in the solution, let me know.
Unfortunately, everything seems doable in AE but that is not the place I usually begin. Fortunately the integration is very tight but there is still a bit of a learning curve for me with AE.

Aanarav,
Quicktime is necessary to make any MOV files which I often do when producing content for the internet.
I am only producing MOV files which do not show the MP4 extension.
Please help if possible.

I am replying to my own post to correct several errors which I should have caught before posting–rushing usually results in waste and confusion, sorry indeed.
I have had a few clients ask me if I plan to use an HD camera in preparing their web destined video which will be formatted 4:3 with frame sizes between 640X480 and 320X240. I tell them that using HD is not necessary and will not offer any improvement to the end product. My experience is that when reducing the frame size using as an example, DV in 720×420 native format, there is a loss of definition in addition to the average mobile or personal device used to view the content does not support a wide screen format.
Am I overlooking something?
Comments encouraged and welcome.

It could be a number of different things in addiion to whether you are using a MAC or PC environment. If you loaded a trial version then did not purchase it or decided to take another route, you will have to completely reomove the original trial version. Assuming this is a PC platform, you will need to get the Adobe Script removal tool from Adobe (free) and follow the instructions carefully, including a second step that involves using the Microsoft deep removal tool which will remove any traces of the former progarm so that you are sure that you are working with a clean install.
Follow the instructions for both the Adobe Script removal and the Microsoft file removal tool very carefully as there is NO return if you are not careful. I experience a similar situation and this worked perfectly!
Good luck.

Thanks Darby, I will try the edge feature you mentioned. The masking is primarily for texts in which I am attemptin to create write-on or paint effects but simply capturing the exact dimensions of each letter can get a bit tricky and difficult to manage. The edge setting you mention could simply this effort.
Thanks!!

Thanks for replying.
It’s not the stroke but the mask the stoke is set to cover. The width of the pen tool is too narrow to create a mask over the width of the line/character or letter so when a stroke is applied, it only covers the width of the pen which did not fully mask the item.
I felt that if I could change the width of the pen tool it would be possible for me to fully cover the width of the letters I wish to mask. For smaller type face, for example, it would not be necessary to fully outline each character which in some cases is very difficult to achieve. Like the paint brush tool, if there was some way to adjust being used to “brush-on” or applying the mask.
Please let me know if you understand what I trying to convey and if there is a way to do what I have described.
Thanks!!
