That was it! Thanks so much for solving this nagging tech problem. You are now on my “IT” staff… it doesn’t pay… but you do have my gratitude!

O.K. So I loaded Flip4mac on my system, and it has really jacked things up. I can’t render anything in AE or Media 100. They come out with all types of errors. I dumped prefs and unistalled flip4mac, re-installed qtime… No luck. I am in serious trouble! Any help?

But if it did run on thank yous, I could probably keep this place open by myself! I find myself saying thank you alot to this site!
Kinda funny, but when I read your reply of “ADS” It took me a minute to realize what you meant. I was thinking there was some special A.D.S. code written in the page to kick my fans on high speed! Now that you mention it, there are quite alot of ads on this page…
Anyhow Thanks for everything you do Andrew, and keep the podcasts coming… they are keeping me ahead of my competition… unless their watching them too… Dang it…

[Andrew Kramer] “It’s called “ADS”. This place doesn’t run on “thank yous””

We’ll that’s a good idea, but that would require a host… which we do not have.
The windows media had been working great for me. A quick 2 minute render, email a 1.5mb file and forgetaboutit!
I was hoping not to have to spend more money (no more in my budget)

Can’t think of anyone involved in video who doesn’t have a net descent net connection these days 😉

    O.K. Figured it out!
In the top right of the Comp window is a drop down menu. From there I went to View options. From there the Effect controls box was not checked. I new it was something dumb! Thanks to all those who offered help.

No offence taken… it is usually the dumb little things that hang me up!
I am adding the Vector Paint efffect. The paint tools have always in the past popped up in the left top corner of the comp window. They are missing in action now. I will try blowing out my prefs. Thanks,

    Jeremy
