In AE 6.5 I would render out my 30 second TV spots in the windows media format .wmv to get a decent looking file that was small enough to email for preview and approval purposes. Now digging through 7.0, that windows media option is not there, so I have just been sending my final product back to 6.5 to render out the preview file. In the coming months be upgrading to a mac pro, and I don’t think I’ll be taking 6.5 with me… What is a good way to render out a small preview file that has decent quality in 7.0?

Why not post a better quality streamable version online ?

Can’t think of anyone involved in video who doesn’t have a net descent net connection these days 😉

We’ll that’s a good idea, but that would require a host… which we do not have.
The windows media had been working great for me. A quick 2 minute render, email a 1.5mb file and forgetaboutit!
I was hoping not to have to spend more money (no more in my budget)

There are quite a few free video hosting sites out there, and most will offer the ability to host private videos as well.

    A few come to mind…

O.K. So I loaded Flip4mac on my system, and it has really jacked things up. I can’t render anything in AE or Media 100. They come out with all types of errors. I dumped prefs and unistalled flip4mac, re-installed qtime… No luck. I am in serious trouble! Any help?
