Nope. It is just showing you that it is out of sync. But that doesn’t matter b/c you are not attempting to sync.
This is a good feature for me as it is a visual cue that something is amiss (unless I intended it to be so). So, when I do multicam edits and I slide something over and had it ungrouped it alerts me that the audio and video are no longer synchronized.
In your case, just disregard the visual cue.

I use Taiyo Yuden watershield DVD’s for all of my burns. I have never had a bad one and no complaints on the client’s end.

Download the trial of Ultimate S Pro from Vasst.com or Excalibur from jetdv.com. I know Ultimate S pro can do it and I am pretty sure Excalibur can as well but I don’t own Excalibur so I can’t say for sure.

You don’t have to change the PAR, you just want to make sure it matches up with your project settings (I was just making sure you did not inadverdently change it).
Here is what I mean by the DivX encoder. You have to have it to encode to DivX.

Hi Kris,
I would not be looking for an alternative to DVD-A as you have exactly what you want. I would almost bet that if you take your DVD to some electronic store and play the menu in several different DVD players, the majority (if not all) of them will show it correctly.
It would seem that the issue is not so much how DVD-A coded the menu’s but more so how your current set top player decodes it. It seems that your DVD player is reading something wrong.
Please test the DVD in several other players and brands and see how it displays. I think you will find it is an issue with your dvd player and not the disc or DVD-A.

If you have tried to change the transition to another transition and still get this, it sounds like something is wrong.
However, post a screen grab of the preview window showing this anomaly as well as a screen grab of your crossfade on the timeline.
And for the sake of double checking, add a completely different transition, such as barn doors or something that is obviously not a crossfade and see if you get the same flash.

You will want to ensure that your settings are correct- especially as they relate to resizing and your PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio). You can do this from the custom area of the render dialog box.
Now, having said that, if you can render to DivX, that means you have the DivX encoder. I would strongly recommend you use the DivX encoder for rendering to DivX. You will have more controls relating to your DivX output than you will in Vegas as it is specific to DivX.
