I know stupid question but I’ve been out of the loop and haven’t been reading any specs or forums.”There’s a chassis (called an MPX module (Mac Pro eXpansion?)) that houses GPUs, and provides more thunderbolt ports. Here’s a primer: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210408
Short answer, yes you can add a normal PCIe GPU, long answer, not every GPU is supported, and you’d miss on Infinity Fabric connections which are high speed connections between GPUs.
You can get the 8GB and always upgrade later.

I don’t know, do I? I feel like I need Red Raw acceleration as well as any compressed h264 recording out of DJI cameras.
I just wonder what ProRes acceleration would do?

Benchmark testers are going to have their hands full with the amount of options now available. Will they even be able to benchmark a fully loaded MacPro?
What software needs 65,000 Euros of computer to run at its peak?
Do I need two single GPUs or one double GPU? Or one single and two doubles? Or two doubles and a single? Of (gasp) two doubles? Or do I need to wait for the single one that’s unavailable becomes it’s faster than the other four combined?
Do I need Afterburner for working with ProRes (not RAW)?
Lots of questions, but it sure looks cool!

It’s not that you aren’t delivering what they are asking for, it’s that you are delivering what they need in order for the streaming to work. 🙂
